Have you ever wondered about the not-so-clear details concerned with studying abroad?
Like tuition, scholarships, discounts, accommodation, and everything that might give you a headache – The Study Abroad Exhibition hosted by TGM had the answers. I swear, they had answers to questions I didn’t even know I had. It was like having a one-stop-shop for all your ‘How do I study abroad?’ needs.
A World Tour Within Four Walls
Representatives from universities around the world were there, and it felt like a global tour in one room. Some of the universities there are; the University of Sussex, the University of Plymouth, Queen’s University, Belfast, University of Leicester, Birmingham City University, University of Stirling, University of Strathclyde, Glascow, University of East Anglia, among many others.
One of the highlights for me was chatting with the university representatives. They were so friendly and genuinely excited to share their culture and programs. It was like a mini-trip around the world with every conversation. I left with a notebook filled with valuable information.
They shared valuable tips on discounts and scholarships for students who are struggling. Some of the schools don’t even require IELTs or any other proficiency tests as longer as you have a credit in English from your school leaving certificate.
As if that wasn’t enough, they handed out handbooks. Handbooks! Like, you mean I can leave this place with a booklet that will guide me through the labyrinth of choosing a university and program? Where’s the catch, you ask? There isn’t one!
I got to interview two other attendees who shared my zest for studying abroad. It was amazing to hear their stories, plans, and dreams. The world suddenly felt a lot smaller, and I realized how much we can learn from each other.
So, What’s Next for This Big Dreamer?
As I walked out of Eko Hotels, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement, dread, and determination. Studying abroad is no small feat, but now I have a secret weapon – the knowledge I gained from this exhibition.
So, if you ever find yourself contemplating how to plan your own escape to foreign lands, watch out for the next Study Abroad Exhibition. Who knows? You might just bump into me.
Until next time, stay curious, keep dreaming, and let’s conquer the world one step at a time!
