We’ve got some exciting news.
According to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Yaba and Ikeja-Along Flyovers, symbols of the Red Rail Line project, are about to be open to vehicular movement. Guess when? Drumroll, please… Next month, October 2023!
On Wednesday, 27th October, Sanwo-Olu, along with his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, went on a tour to inspect the red rail line project. They gave the traders along Agege rail line an ultimatum –to pack up and leave within two days or they will be forced to do so.
Our governor isn’t taking nonsense anymore– he said he’s had enough of all the chaos and people trading in places where it’s a no-no. No more rule-bending in Lagos!
Those on the entourage with the governor were: Commissioners for Information and Strategy, Environment and Water Resources, Transportation, Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, Tokunbo Wahab, Seun Osiyemi, Ope George, respectively, and Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Sola Giwa, Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, Bimbo Akinajo, among others.
