Charles Okpaleke, the CEO of Play Network Studios, unveiled this information in a statement issued on Thursday in Lagos. Okpaleke emphasized the importance of African storytelling, innovation, and Pan-African collaboration in shaping the future, encapsulating the ethos of “The Skeleton Coast,” a groundbreaking film project jointly produced by Play Network Studios and Mondjila Studios.
The story is based on Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, known as “The Land God Made in Anger” by the local bushmen tribes.
The impressive cast includes Thaepelo Mokoena (South Africa), Ini Dima-Okojie (Nigeria), Tjuna Daringo (Namibia), Mawuli Gavor (Ghana), Cindy Mahlangu (South Africa), Damilola Adegbite (Nigeria), and the addition of the experienced American actor Eric Roberts from Hollywood.
