MY ‘ELEDA’ SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME…
Nobody told me about the bittersweet taste of tech before I willfully decided to ‘chuk’ head.
I just thought I needed a career switch as my current job isn’t quite demanding. So, I thought to myself ‘why not try tech? At least it would keep me busier and possibly richer.’
My ‘eleda’ forgot to gist me about the sleepless nights of researching codes that will end up taking me to where I don’t know, or the countless errors while deploying a dummy server; why didn’t my ancestors remind me that in my lineage, any small stress we experience will end up with days of nursing migraines?
But now I know that tech is an interesting but tedious journey for those with background knowledge, you don’t just jump the ladders because of the misconstrued motive of cashing out instantly as a tech bro/tech sis. Like Zuckerberg, you need to have attained a certain level of tech experience to be able to make big gains in the industry, and the only way you can get there is through hard work and persistence (just keep pushing). Now I’m taking it one step at a time and I’m finding it extremely interesting!
