The marketing communication firm Verdant Zeal Group Ltd held its 11th innovation round table tagged, ‘Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Marketing Communications.’
The virtual event, which was held on The 17th of August,2023 explored the opportunities and challenges of using AI in marketing communications and how tech can be leveraged to drive growth innovation, and positive change.
Its keynote address was delivered by the founder of Media Fuse Dentsu Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Okeke, with discussions moderated by the managing director of AT3 Resources, Mrs. Tosin Adefeko. In Mr. Emeka Okeke’s address, he highlighted multiple ways in which there has been a lot of redefining in the marketing world at large using AI. He also stated that in the production of e even videos and their creation, there are becoming more and more brands that are choosing AI as their video generation partner to save time, cost, and resources. “AI is letting content creators and businesses create huge amounts of content within a shorter time.”
|Answering questions that further sought to know if AI would eventually take the place of humans in the not-too-distant future, he also said that although AI will inevitably replace certain aspects of traditional marketing, especially the tedious analysis and trends as chatbots will in the next five years become more advanced in providing analytics and detailed insights into customer behaviour, AI would not be able to replace human capabilities and ability to be creative, as creativity is the lifeblood of marketing.
According to stakeholders, the 2023 innovention round table will serve as a build-up to this year’s edition of the Verdant Zeal Innovention Series scheduled for October 27th, 2023, which will have the theme, “The Future of Africa’s Creative Industry in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.”
